Actor of The Notebook dies at 73

Sam Shepard starred in a variety of films across a three decade period.

According to initial reports on Monday, he died following health complications. He passed away at his home on the 27th of July.
In line with this, a family spokesperson confirmed that his death came from complications caused by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which is commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
He is survived by his children, Jesse, Hannah and Walker Shepard and also his sisters Sandy and Roxanne Rogers.
He starred in a variety of films across a three decade period and he is widely acclaimed for his roles as Frank Calhoun in The Notebook and Robert Rayburn in Netfix’s Bloodline.
He won the Pulizer Prize for drama in 1979 and he is also an accomplished playwright with over 44 plays to his name.
